Top-Down Images to PBR

With colormass Material AI technology, Kvadrat can convert over 2,000 fabrics that were previously digitized using a standard top-down photography setup.

While the final PBR maps do not achieve the same level of detail as those produced by the colormass PBR scanner (which captures over 1,000 fabric measurements) the colormass Material AI is the industry-leading solution for transforming regular images into high-quality 3D materials. It is the only AI model on the market trained on more than 16,000 svBRDF scans.

New Introductions

As Kvadrat continues to expand its digital offerings, a growing number of new fabric and curtain collections are now being digitized with the colormass PBR scanner. This advanced scanning technology captures more than 1,000 precise measurements per material, ensuring an unprecedented level of accuracy in surface detail, reflectance, and texture. By utilizing the colormass PBR scanner, Kvadrat can now create true-to-life 3D representations of its textiles and rugs, providing designers and manufacturers with an unparalleled digital experience.

This shift to high-fidelity digitization not only enhances the realism of Kvadrat’s digital materials but also streamlines their workflow. With the ability to generate highly detailed, production-ready 3D materials, Kvadrat empowers its customers to explore, visualize, and integrate their textiles seamlessly into digital design and manufacturing processes. Whether for interior design, architecture, or product visualization, the combination of colormass Material AI and the PBR scanner ensures that every material (from delicate fabrics to textured rugs) is faithfully represented in the digital world.
